If one thinks of a ballet dancer or a martial artist there are elements of both creativity and composure within their gentle skills. Amongst the strength, agility, practiced moves, coherent theme, there is a component of gentleness which lends itself to wonderful creativity of expression.
In gentleness a constant improvisation and reassessment is called for in our relationships to those outside of ourselves. In Christ we find a truly considered adaptation that responds subtly and artfully - beautifully - to others. Gentleness therefore does not just denote meekness, but can be delivered in demeanor with skill and artistry that is intelligent and determined.
